Class Art - Art Classes for Children, Dublin:
Class Art is a unique children's art school located on the south side of Dublin city. We offer after -school classes to 5-12 year olds that cover drawing, painting, print, textiles, collage, mixed media, clay and 3D work. Our teachers are graduates of the National College of Art and Design and are professional artists and designers that love sharing their skills with children. Class Art classes are entirely compatible with the Primary School Visual Arts Curriculum.

Class Art provide classes for primary school children in 2 age groups throughout the autumn, winter, spring and summer terms:

5-7 year old classes:

5-7 year olds at Class Art gain confidence in expressing themselves through art, design and craft. We introduce children to a variety of art disciplines and children experience many different processes.

We experiment with an assortment of drawing and painting instruments and lots of new materials are used.

At this stage we really encourage children to find their feet in art and design and build confidence that will last for many years to come.

Interesting themes in our projects and hands-on activities in colour, mark making, line, surface, shape etc encourage children to experiment and gain confidence in their abilities.

8 - 12 Years Old Class:

8-12 year olds at Class Art expand their creativity by developing their knowledge and skills in art and design techniques. At our classes we provide a stimulating and exciting environment of experimentation and innovation.

We study interesting artists and look and respond to their work. We also work to themes that drive creative ideas.

Children will cover drawing from observation, colours and tones, a broad variety of mark making materials and advanced art, design and craft techniques.

They will also have the opportunity to experiment with many interesting methods within textiles, stitch, collage, clay and 3D. With the right art education, children of this age often produce surprisingly mature and inspirational artwork!
