Basic Book-keeping (14 hours):
This training course is suitable for anyone wishing to improve their work prospects, business owners wanting to keep their own books and those wishing to retrain or improve existing skills. The objective of the course is to gain a clear understanding of the basic principles of book-keeping.
Book-Keeping Level 2 - Module 1
In 8 lessons learn all aspects of manual accounts, the basics of VAT, checking invoices, day books, general ledger, purchase ledger and sales ledger, petty cash books and balancing ledger accounts.
Book-Keeping Level 2 - Module 2
Module 2 covers the double entry book-keeping system, bank reconciliation, sales and purchase ledger, accounting for bad debt, correcting errors, reconciliation of statements and VAT returns.
Book-Keeping Level 2 - Module 3
Module 3 covers using the journal in order to correct book-keeping errors, as well as recording year-end adjustments prior to preparing the final accounts a business usually prepares at the end of the financial year.
Payroll - Manual & Computerised (Sage QuickPay):
Designed for those needing to learn about the latest Tax (PAYE) and Social Insurance (PRSI) processes required by the Irish Revenue Commissioners. Prerequisites include experience of the basics of Excel, including how to create, edit, format, and print basic worksheets and charts. With the use of exercises, you will become proficient in PRSI and PAYE payroll calculations using a manual system. Students progress to Computerised Payroll, where the techniques of manual payroll are applied to the popular payroll software, Sage Quickpay. The skills gained will enable you to learn the procedures of a computerised payroll system (Sage Quickpay).
Sage Line 50 Version 12 (24 hours):
This training course is aimed at those with a good working knowledge of manual book-keeping who wish to learn how to use a computerised book-keeping program. Students need to have a working knowledge of manual book-keeping or previous study of Basic Book-keeping, Sales and Purchase Ledger and Final Accounts 1. The objective of the course is to learn Sage Line 50 Accounts v12 to a high competency level.
