Yeats Language School is situated in Sligo on the North West coast of Ireland. On the banks of the Garavogue River, it is a beautiful and idyllic setting for a language learning experience. With a supportive management structure, teaching team and office staff, YLS provides tuition for a range of courses from General English to English for Specific Purposes. The purpose built year round school provides high quality tuition for a diverse mix of students from all over the world. Our adult courses operate year round while our junior programmes operate from June to September. We also operate a Winter / Spring Junior School Programme from October to May. The school has become widely respected for its warm and personal atmosphere, its small classes and a diverse mix of international students from all over the world. General English
At Yeats Language School our courses are designed to improve fluency and communication skills. Students are given a balanced timetable of classes covering pronunciation and speaking, listening comprehension, writing skills, reading skills and vocabulary building. Relevant grammar topics are integrated into lessons in a practical context. At least two teachers are allocated to each programme to allow students to avail of a range of diverse teaching methods. Emphasis is placed on oral communication and use of authentic language. The course encourages communicative interaction through pair work, role plays, etc. It is designed to improve practical knowledge of grammatical structures also.
Intensive English
At Yeats Language School our courses are designed to improve fluency and use of authentic language. The Intensive English course is ideally suited to those students who wish to maximise their learning experience and language acquisition while in Ireland. Students gain an optimum learning outcome from studying English while completely immersed in an English-speaking environment. Students are given a balanced timetable of classes covering pronunciation and speaking, listening comprehension, writing skills, reading skills and vocabulary building. Relevant grammar topics are integrated into lessons in a practical context. At least two teachers are allocated to each programme to allow students to avail of a range of diverse teaching methods. Various accents and teaching styles are also incorporated into the course to maximise learning potential. Emphasis is placed on oral communication and use of authentic language. Private Tuition
At Yeats Language School our private tuition courses are designed to meet the student’s specified requirements. It allows students to work on particular areas of language study, such as pronunciation, listening comprehension, writing skills, formal/informal communication and conversational practice. The programme can be arranged between the student and the Director of Studies to be flexible and structured to the individual student's needs. Various accents and teaching styles are also incorporated into the course to maximise learning potential. Emphasis is placed on oral communication and use of authentic language.

The programmes provide structured and well planned English tuition, with emphasis placed on communicating effectively by incorporating various accents and teaching styles to maximise learning potential.
