The Italian Institute for Advanced Culinary and Pastry Arts (ICI) located in Parma, the Emilia-Romagna region of northern Italy, just 87 km from Bologna and 135 km from Florence, was founded to constantly update cooking techniques and menu development for chefs, pastry chefs and bakers in Italy's increasingly competitive environment. We offer full immersion culinary, baking, pastry and gelato programs for professional chefs, patissier, culinary instructors, advanced students and serious home gourmets. Today, the Institute is Italy's top culinary academy and considered among the most important in Europe. We also have a school in Satriano, Calabria in southern Italy.
Our Master Courses are designed specifically for professionals and concentrate on highly developed techniques that are continually being developed through the Institute's participation in international culinary competitions. Located in Florence, Tuscany in northern Italy, Accademia del Giglio is a private school which is specifically aimed at helping international students to gain proficiency in Art, Art History and the Italian Language and understand the many aspects of Italian culture. Our courses in Art techniques (drawing and painting) are open all year round. At Accademia del Giglio every effort is made to satisfy the student's needs and provide enjoyable lessons in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere. We are accredited by the Italian Ministry of Education.
Students have the opportunity to attend our Art courses either in English or in Italian, in a peaceful and multicutural atmosphere. They can be easily introduced into basic drawing and painting techniques or improve their artistic skills by studying traditional techniques such as oil, watercolour and fresco. Our school can also offer more in-depth workshops and art seminars on one specific technique or subject, such as sketchbook, portrait, landscape, sanguine and other classical methods. Accademia d'arte offers art holidays in Italy. We are located at the border of the Italian Riviera and the famous French "Cote d'Azur", next to Monte Carlo. International artist Nicole Durand offers painting, drawing and scuplture classes and workshops for beginners to advanced artists. All classes can be taught in English, Italian and French. We also provide cooking lessons, food and wine testing, museum visits and other excursions to allow you to experience the Italian language and culture. Each student is assigned a semi private studio to study and develop their own personal work, with 24 hour access, in a safe environment at the school.
Normally students come for short periods (one to 3 months) however there are many students who choose to remain longer. We organize housing for each student close to the studio. Non-painting partners are welcome.

Spend a fabulous cooking holiday in Umbria, close to Tuscany in Italy. We offer one day culinary classes as well as either a fun filled 2 and 4 days or a full week stay at the country farm"la volpe e l'uva" in the heart of Umbria. Learn to cook authentic Italian dishes in an informal and friendly environment where you will learn the passion of the Italian kitchen and have fun doing it. The Umbrian cuisine is incredibly rich and varied, famed for its heady olive oil; the wines are among the best produced in Italy.
We will teach you to make splendid Italian four course lunches/dinners covering all the basic Italian cooking techniques.
Recipes vary according to the season, utilizing only the freshest ingredients available and providing you with a deeply individual Italian experience. The cooking teacher is native Umbria and speak English so understanding won't be a problem.
We also offer unique package itineraries for groups from 2 up to 10 persons in Central Italy.
