Italian Language course
The school has its premises in a 19th century building in the centre of Florence in front of the Bargello National Museum. The area is close to the Cathedral and the Palazzo Vecchio, the town hall. The student is literally immersed in the artistic, historical and cultural heart of Florence, the "cradle of the Renaissance", within walking distance of the most prestigious monuments of the Romanesque, Gothic and the 15th century art. The other "attractions" of Tuscany are easy to reach: San Gimignano, Siena, Pisa, Lucca, up to Carrara with its marble quarries, the most famous in the world thanks to Michelangelo, and Versilia, one of the most famous sea resorts in Italy.
A Teacher and a Tutor
The school places considerable emphasis on the quality of its teaching. All our teachers have a degree from an approved Italian university. Every member of our teaching staff is a native Italian speaker who can also speak English. All our teachers have at least 3 years’ teaching experience and are prepared to help the students with any problem they may experience during their stay at Accademia del Giglio.
