Graduate School of International Management, International University of Japan:
The Graduate School of International Management (GSIM) was started in 1988, becoming the first US-style business school in Japan. The program is built upon a curriculum focused on comparative analysis of global issues from a Japan-Asia perspective, while adhering to the high standards set for a global MBA education. Through this unique approach, theGSIM has established itself as a leading graduate business school in Japan and the Asia Pacific region.

In response to the growing demand for managers with technology and business skills, we started a one-year E-business Management Program in 2001.

Developing leaders, managers, and functional specialists with an understanding of and capability to respond to changing economic, technological, societal, and environmental developments and concerns is a high priority challenge for business and society. To this end, IUJ’s MBA and E-Business curricula are designed to help students acquire both the “hard” and “soft” skills essential to becoming effective leaders in their chosen field. Our curriculum is based on 5 principles: (1) theory-based reasoning and analytical thinking, (2) practical relevance, (3) becoming an effective leader, (4) becoming an effective international team member, and (5) developing and leveraging networks. A carefully planned and executed thesis project under the supervision of a qualified faculty member is the capstone requirement of our two programmes.
