Courses:The primary curriculum taught at Saifi is a specialized new set of books written by Saifi teachers called "Pragmatic Arabic", however, Saifi does offer Modern Standard Arabic (MSA), mostly to students who wish to do research of authentic materials in their original language.
Pragmatic Arabic is meant to be a comprehensive Arabic course that can teach the absolute novice the ability to communicate effectively with Arabs in everyday situations. Because language schools divide Arabic between colloquial and MSA (and usually only MSA is taught in a systematic way) many students of Arabic find themselves with very limited practical skills. Either they can't speak if they've leaned MSA, or they can't read/write or become an advanced speak if they've learned Colloquial Arabic.
