Pragmatic Arabic:Pragmatic Arabic is meant to be a comprehensive Arabic course that can teach the absolute novice the ability to communicate effectively with Arabs in everyday situations.
Pragmatic Arabic is structured around the real Arabic alphabets, both script (عربية) and the developing "Arabic Chat Alphabet" (3arabiyeh), and teaches the Arabic you use in day-to-day life. We do not teach useless transliteration or academic grammar (at least not until you really need it).
The curriculum progresses from learning basic survival/courtesy phrases and gaining a phonetic understanding of the Arabic script, to proficiency in social situations and comprehension of simple authentic documents (menus, forms, signs etc.), to work proficiency, and finally to advanced communicative flexibility in a variety of styles and circumstances... the same way that Arabs themselves use the language.

Modern Standard Arabic:Saifi offers Modern Standard Arabic (MSA), mostly to students who wish to do research of authentic materials in their original language. Our courses are based on the widely used "Al-Kitab" curriculum.
