Michael Phelps Swim School, Baltimore:
Michael Phelps Swim School is a Baltimore based, learn-to-swim program, for children and adults of all ages and abilities. Swim classes include personal safety, stroke development, water sports and games, personal growth, and rescue skills. In 2009, Olympic swimmer Michael Phelps returned to Baltimore, with Coach Bob Bowman, and began to invest in his dream, to grow the sport of swimming and get more children and adults in the water. In the fall of 2009, Michael began to make his dream a reality, teaming up with North Baltimore Swim School (NBSS) to launch Michael Phelps Swim School and offer world-class swimming instruction.

Parent & Child Get Wet Classes (6 months - 3 years):
Get Wet is a parent and chilPhoto of Swim Classes in Baltimore, MDd class for children three years of age and younger. While focusing on water comfort, games, and relaxing in a warm water environment, parents are encouraged to challenge each child's skills and level of comfort in the water. Continually under the guidance of a competent instructor, the emphasis in Get Wet is on fun in the water!

Pre-Beginner I (3-4 years):
Pre-Beginner is our first class without parental involvement. Children must have reached the age of three to enroll in this level. The emphasis in Pre-Beginner is on basic water skills such as assisted and unassisted floating, blowing bubbles and retrieving items from the bottom of a shallow (3 foot) area.

Pre-Beginner II (5 years +):
Pre-Beginner includes games and activities that build confidence while increasing the child’s comfort and feel for the water. Finally, children will become comfortable swimming under the water.

Beginner I (3-6 years):
Children remain in the Beginner level until they are swimming freestyle and demonstrating rotary breathing. It is anticipated that children will remain in this level for multiple sessions, as the skills to be mastered are quite broad and varied.

Beginner II (6 years +):
In Beginner, children are comfortable in the water, able to completely submerge, and can float on their front and back. The emphasis in Beginner is on development of confidence and feel for the water.

Advanced Beginner I ( 4-6 years):
In Advanced Beginner, freestyle (crawl stroke) skills are honed and other competitive strokes are introduced and taught.

Advanced Beginner II (7 years +):
The emphasis in Advanced Beginner is on confidence with freestyle and building comfort with other strokes. Children should be able to demonstrate rotary breathing, have mastered the air exchange process.

Intermediate (5 years +):
The Intermediate is the highest level of group instruction. Intermediate swimmers can swim for a distance unaided. Additionally, these swimmers demonstrate comfortable rotary breathing with freestyle, a competent backstroke, and a feel for the water. The fundamentals of breastroke and butterfly are reinforced. These children will work to improve their skills so they can swim several laps of each stroke with confidence.

Other Classes:
Private and semi-private lessons are scheduled for children upon request.

GPAC Swim School, Greater Philadelphia & South Jersey
Courses / Programs
Established in 2009, The Greater Philadelphia Aquatic Club (GPAC) Swim School provides group swim classes and private lessons to young children (ages 4+) from the Greater Philadelphia and South Jersey area. Our swim classes are held at the Gloucester County Institute of Technology in Sewell, NJ. Our aim is to help young children of all swimming abilities to become more familiar around water and more proficient with their swimming skills.

Our swim lessons are offered in a group format and we keep our class sizes small with no more than four swimmers per instructor. We also offer private, 1-on-1, lessons. Classes at each level will also include safety lessons to go along with the swimming instruction. The safety of your child is paramount to us. This is why all of our instructors are required to be certified in lifesaving and CPR/First Aid.
- Group swim classes for kids (ages 4+) at beginners, intermediate & advanced levels. All group classes are offered in 6 week sessions and classes are run once per week for the duration of the session. Each lesson will last 25 minutes.

Let Me Play Sports Camps
Courses / Programs
Let Me Play are leading international specialists in sports camps and sports tours. Each year, we provide residential and non-residential sports-based summer camps for young people (Boys & Girls ages 10-21) from the UK and around the world.

The organisation is all about providing educational opportunities for young people to play and enjoy sport. Our sports camps take place at Loughborough University in Leicestershire, in the East Midlands of England.

Sports offered include basketball, football (soccer), and athletics. Our camps are a great way to meet new friends, build self confidence, keep fit and learn more about whatever sport you are most into. 

We take sport seriously and our coaches are there to help each individual develop, enjoy and reach his/her maximum potential.

If you are an international attendee, we also offer English lessons alongside all of our camps. We can create a custom English program just for you so you can learn a new language as well as a new sport. Sightseeing tours are also available with each camp as an extra.
