Hotel Casa de Sierra Nevada:
Our cookery school is located at the Hotel Casa de Sierra Nevada. The cool leafy gardens surrounding the Casa de Sierra Nevada are just the first sign of welcome. Step inside, through stone arches and traditional wooden doors, to the warm Mexican hospitality awaiting you. The hotel is a collection of houses grouped around verdant, cool courtyards. The buildings range from old Spanish colonial mansions to an erstwhile fort and former Customs House from the days when the silver trade ruled the region. The Casa Principal (the Main House) was originally built as the home of the town's Archbishop in 1580 and is today an official historic landmark.
