Love a Lot Preschool, New York:
Situated in Manhattan’s Lower East Side on Clinton Street, Love a Lot Preschool offers a pre-school program for children 2 -5 yrs old. Our preschool facility is located on the ground floor of a new residential building. Its four large, brightly colored classrooms are divided into well planned learning centers that allow for self directed play, small groups and supportive teaching. In addition to the classrooms, there is an indoor gym space for gross motor activities. Since this site is walking distance to our Suffolk Street program where we hold our infants program, the older children also utilize the backyard outdoor space.

In our preschool programs, the curriculum includes a project approach derived from children’s questions or special interests. The teacher plans a daily schedule that maximizes children’s acquisition of desired knowledge and skills through the effective use of time and materials. The children are offered opportunities to learn through play and through structured activities, individually and in groups. Each child’s social - emotional development is fostered through the development of friendships, self-regulation skills, empathy and the ability to resolve conflict.

Courses / Programs:
Pre-school and Pre-Kindergarten program for children 2 -5 yrs old. Subjects include music, creative movement, sign language, yoga and French. Early literacy is supported through reading, learning letters and sounds, and immersion in a print rich environment. Classroom learning centers encourage exploration and discovery. Our second location on Suffolk Sreet offers an infant toddler program for children 2 months - 2 years old.
