Computer Training Source, New York:
Computer Training Source offers computer classes and private tutoring in the New York City area (Midtown Manhattan NYC) and in the Chicago area (Downtown, Schaumburg, and Naperville/Warrenville). Our training classes run from 9am to 4pm. Classes consist of an average of six to ten students, each at their own computer. All our classes are instructor-led and interactive. Each student receives a manual and access to practice files. In addition, students may retake a class once for free within six months. Students also receive thirty days of free technical support with the purchase of a class. You’ll be doing exercises on your own computer throughout the class. The instructor’s computer is attached to a projector so you can follow throughout the class. Our charismatic instructors are hired for their knowledge of software, their patience and their clear instruction. CTS was founded by an instructor, and high-quality training is our first priority.  FAQs:

What size are your classes?
Classes are kept small to allow the instructor to devote personal attention to each student. Typical class size is 6 to 12 students.

How long are your classes?

Most classes are one day. Some of our technical classes are more than one day. If you sign up for a combination program, you will be attending several one-day classes.

Classes normally begin at 9 am and finish at 4 pm. Evening classes begin at 6:00 or 6:30 pm and finish at 9:30 pm (usually two evenings). You should check the times in the class schedule to find the exact time for your class.

Do any classes require previous training or experience?
All classes require Windows knowledge. We recommend taking our Introduction to Windows class before any other class if you have not used Windows for three months or more.

Some classes (especially the technical classes) have specific prerequisites. Please refer to the description of the class on this website or call us for prerequisites.

What if I take a one-day class and don't learn everything I need to know?
You can repeat any non-technical class once within six months of the date you first take it. This can be helpful to reinforce what you have learned. You may also want to enroll in the next level of the subject. For instance, if you have take Introduction to Microsoft Word, you may want to enroll in Intermediate Microsoft Word.

If I take this class, and then I want to sign up for a program, do I have to pay for this class again as part of the prograFAQsm? You can apply the fee you have paid for one class towards the total fee for a program.

Is there a suggested order in which to take certain classes?
The Introduction to PC's class, Introduction to Windows class and the Introduction to Microsoft Word class are recommended to be taken (in that order) before any other classes, if you do not have experience with personal computers.

After those three classes, most other classes can be taken in any order you choose. Introductory classes are recommended before taking Intermediate classes in the same subject.
