Mandell Nursery School & Kindergarten:
Mandell School is a private coed non-denominational school offering programs for 2, 3, 4 and 5 years olds. We are located on the Upper West side of Manhattan, New York, between Columbus & Amsterdam Avenues on the North Side of the Street. We are members of the New York Independent School Association (ISAAGNY), the Parent's League and ERB. We work hard Mandell Nursery School & Kindergarten to reach out to those around us to model for our children that we are all citizens of a greater world. We work hard to give our children opportunities to prove their weight in the world that they too can change their planet for the better. We work hard to teach our children to strive for learning to become informed, intelligent decision makers.

Our approach to the development of "Good Citizenship" is incremental and continuous. We encourage the children to learn to solve interpersonal conflicts by helping them to integrate techniques of cooperation and compromise into their group activities. We structure our classrooms in a manner that ensures the full participation of all the children. Our low student-teacher ratios and carefully designed classrooms encourage small group work and support risk-taking on the part of the students at all age levels.

Preschool Programs; Toddlers Program; Pre-Nursery Program; Kindergarten Program; Elememtary School Program; Preparatory School Program. As part of our curriculum we place a strong emphasis on Music, Fine Arts, Foreign Languages and Wellness/Athletics.
