The Law-Wan Center for Global Education was founded by experienced educators and we work with parents in the designing of our programs. We offer language programs and summer learning tours that aim at providing language trainings and cultural exchange opportunities for young people of ages 3 to 18.

Learn Mandarin and Experience Chinese Cultural Activities -- Summer Program for 3-7 Year Olds

3-5 Year Olds—Tue & Thu (2 days/week)
5-7 Year Olds—Mon, Wed & Fri (3 days/week)
Class Time—9AM to 12PM

Our Mandarin immersion program in the Upper Eastside of Manhattan, is located in Manhattan Church of Christ, 48 East 80th Street (between Park & Madison Avenue.). The mission of this program is to introduce children to the Chinese language at an early age and to enjoy the richness of “things Chinese.” Our curriculum offers age-appropriate language instruction from highly qualified educators and cultural experiences in cooking, tea and dim sum, arts and crafts, singing, clay-figure making, Tai Chi exercise, to name a few. Our program welcomes both children of Chinese heritage and non-Chinese children.

Sibling Discount — Students with siblings who are also applying for our summer program this year will receive a 10% discount.


North America Summer English Language Tour 2009  (In conjunction with St. Lawrence University)

What this tour offers:
- An English language immersion program
- Daily interactions with native English speakers
- Cultural exchange with local children of the same age groups
- A sports camp designed for young track and field athletes
- Instructions in all track and field events
- English instructions tailored for our group
- An American folk art workshop at a local museum
- A local cruise around the Thousand Islands region
- A chance to experience the spectacular North Country in New York State
- Visits at different historic and famous tourist sites in both the U.S. and Canada
- Opportunities to learn about the history and culture of both the U.S. and Canada
- Secure housing and great meals
- Adult supervision at all times
- Experienced personnel and well-organized programs
- All travel arrangements—except the application of passport and travel visa

Who this tour welcomes:
- Youths between ages 10 & 18 and their parents*
- U.S. students are welcome.
- *Parents are welcome to participate in or be present at all tour activities except for the track & field camp and the English workshop. We believe that it is important for the students to be able to learn independently. During the time of the track & field camp and the English workshop, parents may enjoy their own time and explore the area by themselves.
