Viva Spanish School is located in the heart of the capitol of Nicaragua, Managua. We offer classes to people visiting, living or working in Managua. Our clients are tourists, NGO workers and embassy employees. We have classes for beginners up to more advanced Spanish-speakers. We also offer on-line classes with the help of Skype.

Our mission at Viva Spanish School is to provide high quality Spanish language training in an academic environment that is conducive to learning. We provide pre-placement testing to accurately place each student at his or her level of understanding of the language and we start from your level. We assure our students that they will leave Viva Spanish School with a better knowledge and fluency level than when they arrive.

On behalf of all of the staff and myself, we would like to say that we are here, ready to help you in your venture to better your Spanish, and to provide you with all of the tools you will need to learn and have fun while doing it!

Our teachers are either college graduates or are in their final year of study in their field. All of our staff has a passion for teaching and are dedicated to their jobs. Viva Spanish school is also committed to providing a healthy work environment for our staff. Our staff are paid salaries about 50% higher than most employees doing the same work in Nicaragua and they enjoy a positive and creative work environment.

A great cross-cultural experience! Staying with a Nicaraguan family will not only improve your Spanish but will open your eyes to a whole new culture and way of life. Sharing with the people of Nicaragua you will come to understand many cultural aspects and learn how to fit into local life.

We recommend that all of our students, where possible, stay with a local family for at least some of their course. You will have your own room but share meals and family time together.

Many students who come to study at Viva Spanish School just want to take classes, and that’s great! Others are interested in getting involved in other activities, such as tours of local attractions. Our school offers activities for those who are interested, three afternoons each week. Every Monday, Wednesday and Thursday the school escorts students on tours. The schedule includes six tours on a two week time-table, starting over every two weeks with the same schedule. See the cost along side of the particular activity that you are interested in taking. Since the school takes no profit for activities, the costs are very low for each one. Please let Miriam or Lyndon know that morning if you are planning on going. The following activities have no minimum number of people who can go so we will go even if only one person is interested.
