We are a cooperative group of three independent Nicaraguan-run Spanish language schools. Our purpose is to help develop cultural edu-tourism in Nicaragua and create jobs for Nicaraguans while offering the international community the highest quality Spanish instruction & cultural immersion experience in the most stimulating & interesting settings. All of our schools support social service, educational, & cultural programs while providing incomes for host families, teachers & associated service providers in three regions across Nicaragua - San Juan del Sur, León and Granada.

Successfully implementing the interactive method depends entirely on the personal attention teachers are able to give students. Therefore, our classes are one on one and all courses are (super) intensive. The level of the students is determined according to the students abilities; the first day of the course begins with an oral and written placement test. All classes are 4 hours in duration and programmed between the hours of 8:00 am and 12 pm. To ensure that everybody is studying at the correct level, all Nicaraguan Spanish Schools teaches 6 levels, ranging from real beginners to very advanced speakers.
Classes take place in a relaxed and stimulating atmosphere, maximizing a student's ability to communicate in Spanish. Teachers have interaction with all the students in order to give them the maximum exposure to the varieties of spoken Spanish. We work with our own text books and materials, which form the basis of the course, in combination with other materials (e.g. literature, CDs, newspapers, songs, videos, grammar exercises etc.) making use of videos, and other audio-visual materials. However, our materials have only a support function. Students may visit typical locations (for example the market, a school or a clinic) during class, and a large part of the study material are practical activities and exercises, which will aid students to understand and speak Spanish, almost without noticing! That is of course with the help of the interaction of your teacher and all the Nica Staff.
All the Nicaraguan Spanish Schools courses include:
- Exercises to extend vocabulary and improve pronunciation.
- Study of grammar (theory and practice)
- Guided conversation, role playing and debates.
- Development of listening, writing and reading comprehension, through using newspapers, songs and local literature.
