Private Schools in Orange County, New York
The Watershed Learning Center based in Circleville, New York, is a learning alternative for youngsters in Orange County, New York and the Greater Hudson Valley. It is a nature-based, ecology program based on democratic principles. We serve students in Kindergarten, Elementary School and Homeschoolers. We encourage child-led, child-centered, inquiry based and project based learning opportunities. The Watershed Learning Center is registered and licensed by the NYS Office of Children and Family Services to provide Group Family Daycare Services.
We follow in the tradition of schooling which includes Waldorf, Montessori, Reggio Emilio. We are part of an international network of progressive schools, AERO, Alternative Education Resource Organization. We serve students from Pine Bush, Wurtsboro, Middletown, Circleville, Walker Valley, Goshen, Sullivan County and surrounding areas. Transportation is available.
