Online Tutor For English is located in New York. We are unique in our method of online English instruction in that we provide American Native English Speaking Tutors as well as Bilingual Tutors. Standardized tests--SAT and TOEFL, ESL-English and General English are the subjects we tutor. Apart from these subjects, we offer rigorous LIVE ONLINE HOMEWORK HELP to middle, high school, college students and professionals in English for all levels. We design a curriculum geared to the improvement of their spoken English. Our teachers are American natives, USA State or TESOL certified or business professionals. We teach by engaging students in conversational dialogs through which students improve their English skills. Lessons are planned with a main focus on comprehension, listening, speaking and writing.

Through a quality tutoring program geared to individual needs of the student, our mission is to help the student realize his or her potential, a potential to achieve excellence in reading, speaking and writing English.

By way of practice in online class, using the student's own school curriculum or our customized curriculum to individual needs and along with supplementary conversational topics and lessons, we provide ample opportunities for the student to understand, listen and speak effectively, read with comprehension and write properly.

Regarding writing skills, for standardized tests our writing instruction is geared to the fundamentals of the standardized test the student will take--SAT or TOEFL, as well as to the common principles of good writing. In addition, students are given extra instruction in writing for school homework (see Homework Help) where a great deal of practice in writing takes place. At the end of the tutoring program, standardized tests are mimicked in online class. We provide customized curricula both for those who speak English as a Second Language (ESL), and for those who are native speakers but need to advance their English language skills in reading, speaking and writing.

Our Tutor Plans include one-to-one tutoring that takes place between the student and teacher, and small group tutoring with up to six students per group for secondary education and college students. For secondary education, we require that parents enroll their children in the tutor plans (please see our How It Works or Enrollment page to obtain information). Depending upon the student's needs, we design a curriculum for the student.
