The Online LPN/LVN to Bachelor of Science in Nursing Program is approved by the Indiana State Board of Nursing and is accredited by the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission, Inc. (NLNAC).


 Undergraduate Degree Program:

Undergraduate Degree Program- Online LPN/LVN to Bachelor of Science in Nursing Program.

This L.P.N. / L.V.N. to B.S. Track is open to the practicing L.P.N. / L.V.N who has completed a practical nursing program and holds a current practical/vocational nurse licensure. The program combines theory and clinical nursing courses, required support courses, and General Education courses and electives. The baccalaureate degree program is recognized as the basic preparation for professional nursing practice, and prepares the graduate as a generalist. Clinical hours can be completed locally with a preceptor. 

Upon successful completion of all of the requirements of the degree program, the L.P.N. / L.V.N. is awarded a bachelor of science in nursing from Indiana State University. Baccalaureate graduates are prepared to provide direct and indirect nursing care. Baccalaureate nursing education is foundational for graduate study in nursing. Graduates of this program are eligible to apply to take the National Council Licensing Examination for Registered Nurses (NCLEX-RN) for entry into practice as a registered nurse.
