At Yorkville University located in Fredericton, New Brunswick, York County, Ontario and our undergraduate division RCC based in Toronto, Ontario, we welcome you to a young, dynamic, innovative university hosting a variety of practitioner oriented degree and diploma programs, graduate and undergraduate level. It is a source of great pride that Yorkville University’s Faculty of Behavioural Science, offering a Master of Arts program in Counselling Psychology, is among the first of its kind in Canada, a 48 credit hour masters degree program. As an institution of higher learning, Yorkville University is dedicated to practitioner oriented professional education; excellence in teaching and maintaining the highest standards of academic integrity and academic freedom. Yorkville University was approved by the New Brunswick Department of Education in 2004. Our faculty are experienced teachers, have doctoral degrees, are licensed practitioners or have extensive practical laboratory experience.

About usYorkville University was established in Fredericton, New Brunswick, in November, 2003. The University was formed with the mission of providing access to rigorous practitioner-oriented professional programs leading to degrees and other certifications in curricular areas relevant to employment in rewarding and socially useful occupations. In 2007, the University incorporated the RCC Institute of Technology and its Faculty of Engineering Technology and Computing. Although the RCC Faculty of Engineering Technology and Computing Faculty serves a variety of students including traditional age and non-traditional age students, the university remains true to its mission of providing academic programs to people who, for reasons of remoteness of geography, health condition, family, or work obligations, would not otherwise be able to avail themselves of the benefits which flow from higher education.

 Programs:

Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology; Postgraduate Diploma programs in Addiction Studies, Marriage and Family Therapy and Health Psychology at our campus in Fredericton. At the RCC Institute of Technology’s Faculty of Engineering Technology and Computing, our undergraduate division based in Toronto, Ontario, we offer both diploma and degree programs in electronics engineering, computer networks and computer information systems. Some programs are offered online or as evening courses.

Where is Yorkville University?
Yorkville University was founded in New Brunswick in 2004. Courses taught out of New Brunswick are offered online, so our students and our professors are from all across Canada, North America and from around the world.

In 2007, Yorkville University acquired the RCC Institute of Technology, which has become the RCC Faculty of Engineering Technology and Computing. This faculty operates out of two campus in Ontario, the RCC /YU Toronto North Campus and the RCC Toronto South Campus.

Where is Yorkville University accredited?

After a rigorous assessment process, Yorkville University was granted both University status, and approved to offer an Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology degree by the New Brunswick Department of Education in 2004.

The RCC Institute of Technology, a division of Yorkville University, received Ministerial Consent in Ontario, in 2004, to offer Bachelor of Technology (Electronics Engineering Technology) BT(EET) and Bachelor of Technology (Computer Information Systems) BT(CIS). This consent, the first provided to an independent, non-secular institution in Ontario, was the result of a review process conducted by the Postsecondary Education Quality Assessment Board as established by the Postsecondary Education Choice and Excellence Act (2000).
