About us:Fox River Country Day School began in 1913 as Chicago Junior School, a boarding school for boys. Over the years, while staying true to its mission, the schools configuration has changed. Today 90% of our students are day students. However, we proudly maintain a boarding component with a capacity for 20 students, Grades 5-8.
Accreditation:Fox River Country Day School is on a seven-year accreditation cycle through ISACS, our most recent certificate dating from 2005. This system of accreditation means that member schools are constantly refining and updating their goals and reviewing their educational philosophy and approach.
Boarding School Program:
The Fox River Country Day School boarding program excels in providing a loving, structured, homelike environment that promotes individual character growth and guided independence. Students feel at home here and supported as they take part in the rigorous academic program of our Middle School. International boarding students are supported as they refine their English skills.
