St. Patricks Academy, West of Ireland:
St. Patricks Academy is a private Catholic independent second level school situated in a most picturesque setting among trees and woodland in the shadow of Ireland's holy mountain, Croagh Patrick, between Castelbar and Westport in Co. Mayo, in the west of Ireland. The surroundings lend themselves to a most tranquil atmosphere which in turn helps our students to benefit from a stress-free environment. Founded in 1985, St.Patrick's Academy provides full-time education for boarding (boys only and assistance is provided for the placement of girls wishing to board with selected local families) and day students.

The School is a microcosm of society in general comprising of students from various countries, differing abilities ranging from Special Needs to Gifted Chidren all progressing well according to their varying abilities in a happy caring setting.

We have boarding facilities for boys, which is limited to eight at present. Girls who wish to be accommodated are placed with local families.

We have a pupil/teacher ratio of 6:1 with a very highly motivated staff who are totally committed to the welfare and care of our students.
