Westfield Private School:
Westfield Private School is located in Muldersdrift (close to all major routes on the West Rand) in the province of Guateng, South Africa, just north of Krugersdorp and 35 km north west of Johannesburg. We provide an excellent educational start for your child. From the moment your child enters Westfield classes they receive high levels of individual attention. We cater for children from Grade 000 to Matric with up to a maximum of 15 children per class. At Westfield we recognize that your child’s education is very special.

Our educational programs focus on the needs of the individual and how best to develop and fulfil the educational potential of your child. Strong emphasis is placed on English and Maths skills with the aim that your child should receive a quality education. Students also enjoy ‘hands on’ visits to local sites with specialists working and living in the area, making their learning experience a reality. The students also have access to a wide variety of extra mural activities and courses.

Location and Facilities:

Westfield Private School is set on secure grounds in the historical village of Muldersdrift.

Administration Building - houses the school secretary, the Principals office, the staff room and sick bay.

Media Center - this building comprises of the library, media room with audio visual equipment, a reading room and the computer/IT classes. The kitchen and canteen adjoins this building.

Nursery & Junior Primary Block - these classrooms have a specific play area for our younger children.

Senior Primary Block - caters for our Grades 3 to 5 and overlooks the quad, opposite the canteen area.

Senior Classes - all students from Grade 6 onwards move to different classes for their specific subjects. These are done in the various separate classes between the Senior Primary block and the Junior Block. The classrooms include a science lab, art room, music room as well as general classrooms for English, Maths, Life Orientation, etc).

Play Grounds - the Junior Primary children have a fenced off area in front of their classrooms with a variety of play equipment (sand pit, wendy house etc). The back playing field is for the Senior children. The higher grades can also sit in the quad area during breaks.

Gardens - on occasion students are taken into the front gardens with their teachers, where they are able to sit outside and study.

The Lapa - is located next to the canteen. This room is used for various activities such as guest speakers, demonstrations, parents association meetings etc. There are braai facilities for school socials.
