Playorena, Istanbul:
Playorena located in the heart of Istanbul is the result of over twenty-five years of development. The founders of this wonderful playgroup and preschool for international children up to 6 years old created a developmentally appropriate recreational program based on the premise that self-acceptance is a major key to growth and development. They were also very aware that young children have a strong innate need for all different kinds of movement and motion. The Playorena program is designed to take toddlers step by step through the stages of early developmental stages while educating parents.

Playorena Program:
Playgroup for children aged 3 months to 5 years.
Playorena Plus:
Preschool for children aged 3 to 6. We follow an English curriculum.
Academic and Development Curriculum:
Block Corner:
Children build and with the toys around like cars, animal or people figures plan and create
Art & Writing Corner:
Paper, crayons, markers, paint, scissors, glue and all kinds of art materials are available for open-ended art activities that focus on the process, rather than the product.
Dramatic Play (house) Corner:
The work children do in the house corner is called dramatic play or pretend play. In the house corner children take on a role and recreate real-life experiences. They use props and make-believe about a wide variety of topics.
Manipulative Play Corner:
Puzzles and table games help socialization, problem solving and small motor skills development.
Book Corner:
Books and books on tape are always available for choice.
Gross Motor Skills:
PLAYORENA is filled with special equipment that foster gross motor skills. Weather permitting we use the sand box and water table in our garden.
Math & Science Corner:
We learn by classification, grouping, counting, measuring, and exploring different textures and materials. The children explore the nature with magnifying glasses, magnets, prisms and much more.
Music Corner:
Sound, rhythm and movement and the use of musical instruments is part of our daily routine.
