Real Estate Licensing Courses:

Principles and Practices of Real Estate:
- 60 Hour Class – for pre-licensing
- 30 Hour Class – for Broker’s License if you originally took P&P back when it was a 30-hour course
Meets the minimum requirements as set forth by the Department of Consumer Protection Real Estate Commission. Must take and pass the State Exam to obtain license.


Broker’s Licensing Courses:
After a salesperson has had their license for two years, he or she can sit for the Broker's License exam. To prepare for this exam, you need 60 total hours of class work, including 30 hours of Basic Appraisal Principles and 30 hours of an elective of your choice. Brokers can sell real estate on their own, so they can open their own firms! It's a great step in the career of a real estate professional that means the potential for much career growth.

These courses are approved by the Connecticut Real Estate Appraisal Commission and the Connecticut Real Estate Commission as pre-licensing courses.

- Complete in only 3 weeks with our accelerated course schedule!
- Total of 8 sessions (attendance at all 8 is required)

Real Estate Law- 30-hour elective:
- Complete in only 3 weeks!
- Total of 8 sessions (attendance at all 8 is required)

Continuing Education Courses for Real Estate Professionals:
You need two mandatory 3-hr courses plus two 3-hr electives, either taken on-site or online. These courses are approved by the Connecticut Real Estate Commission and the Connecticut Real Estate Commission as continuing ed. courses. Courses include:
- Connecticut Disclosure
- RESPA (Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act) & Law Update 
- Connecticut Buyer Agency

Appraiser's Licensing Courses:

Appraisal Pre-Licensing:
- For anyone looking to become an Appraiser
The course requirements are as follows: Provisional Appraiser- 75 hours of coursework, including:
- Basic Appraisal Principles (30 hrs)
- Basic Appraisal Procedures (30 hrs)
- 15-hr National USPAP

Certified Residential License:
- 200 hrs of total coursework, plus at least an Associate’s Degree or college-level equivalent

Certified General License:
- 300 hrs of total coursework, plus at least an Bachelor’s Degree or college-level equivalent
 
Continuing Education for Appraisers:
Every two years, Appraisers are required to complete 28 hours of coursework in order to maintain their license. Seven (7) of those hours are for the USPAP update course. 3 hours for the Mandatory CT Law Update course. The final 18 hours for electives you can take online or on-site.
