Babel Education, Santa Fe:
Babel Education is a non-profit organization in Santa Fe, New Mexico that supports individuals and institutions that strive to become multi-lingual and multi-cultural by offering workshops and courses on language learning and language teaching. Babel offers a variety of different language learning programs, professional development for teachers, and seminars designed to promote bilingualism in the household and community at large. Our Spanish language courses provide students with an opportunity to develop competence and confidence when communicating in Spanish, and are open to all levels. Babel offers a conversation-based language learning experience for people who want to improve their Spanish skills. English, Portuguese, and French classes are also available.

Spanish Language Courses:
Each Spanish language course provides participants with an opportunity to empower themselves with competence and confidence when communicating in Spanish. We aim to provide interactive, targeted, and enjoyable opportunities to increase you knowledge and ability to apply that knowledge in communicating effectively in a non-native language. We offer a productive and participatory approach to language learning for all levels from beginner, intermediate and advanced. Courses include:

- Spanish Language Communication / Conversation Courses:
This course focuses on using Spanish in a communicative context. Pronunciation, grammar, and vocabulary are all components of the communicative tasks in the course. There are, at the moment, two levels: I and II. In each course, instructors note the strengths and weaknesses of the group and individuals and alter the curriculum appropriately to meet the needs of the participants. Through a thematic approach, participants explore the components of effective conversation including pronunciation, grammar, and vocabulary.

- Spanish Language Special Topics Courses:
These are monthly topics surrounding the Spanish language and cultures that you may find interesting. Some of them deal with the language directly (e.g. grammar points, idiomatic expressions, traveling points, etc); others deal with more cultural aspects of the language including Contemporary Latina America, dancing, and other topics of interest.

- Poetry In Spanish Course:
If you enjoy expressing yourself and the world in writing and would like to write poetry in Spanish, we can provide the right mixture of support, exercises, and impetus to stretch you into writing poetry in Spanish. In this course, you will read poetry from contemporary Spanish speaking poets, explore the Spanish language as it relates to poetry and write your own poems in Spanish.

- TESOL Certificate:
If you want to teach your way around the world, we offer an accredited, highly reputable TESOL Certificate course from the School for International Training.

- Further Language Classes:
English, Portuguese, and French classes are also available.
