El Limonar International School in Spain is a private fee-paying bilingual school founded in 1990 and governed by a permanent Board of Directors. The School is accredited by the Middle States Association and by the Spanish Ministry of Education. The student population is comprised of over 20 nationalities including, English, German, Japanese, French, American and Russian pupils although the majority are Spanish.

Baccalaureate
A-level Curriculum
Students must study 4 subjects, according to their ability and interest, at least two of which must be A level courses. In addition to A level certificates, successful students receive a High School Diploma and the Baccalaureate Certificate (El Título de Bachiller). Entrance into university will usually require good marks from 3 or 4 A-Levels.
Each A level subject has 5 lessons of 50 minutes per week, contact time. Students will be expected to spend that amount of time again studying independently. Lessons run from 09:30 - 15:00. Students may stay in school until 17:00 each day to use the study facilities or to follow additional subjects, which run from 16.10 to 17.00. The additional subjects are ICT and Cambridge English Proficiency. Each subject takes place twice a week from October to May. Students receive registration forms in September.

Courses prepare students for the Spanish university entrance exam, Selectividad LOGSE. El Limonar currently boasts a 100% pass rate in these examinations. In addition to the Selectividad exam results, successful students receive a High School Diploma and the Baccalaureate Certificate (El Título de Bachiller).
