Cegri, International Center For Higher Education: If you are looking for quality Spanish courses in Spain, come to CEGRÍ. Located in Granada at the foot of the Sierra Nevada mountains in southern Spain the International Center for Higher Education at CEGRI has been offering Spanish Language and Culture courses and programs in Granada since 1986. We teach standard Spanish. However, we do not limit ourselves to teaching only the language: There are classes devoted to a wide variety of subjects. In accordance with each students ability, academic requirements and field of interest, we offer a range of courses in Spanish Language and Culture.
CEGRÍ is certified and inspected by the Spanish Philology Department of the prestigious University of Alcalá (Madrid), and collaborates with the Didactics of Language and Literature Department at Barcelona's University in both research and teacher training. The University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign holds spring, summer, fall and yearlong Language and Culture programs at CEGRÍ. The University of Michigan at Ann Arbor, the University of Wisconsin at Madison, Santa Barbara City College and Black Hills State University at Spearfish (South Dakota) send students to join these programs.
Location and Facilities:
CEGRÍ is centrally located in a historic fully-restored 17th century noble's house. Granada's Town Hall, Cathedral, and mall, Plaza Nueva and Plaza Bib-Rambla as well as a choice of reasonably-priced restaurants and bars, are all at walking distance.
At CEGRÍ there are eight classrooms, a lecture hall and a library. There are also three computer labs, desks for your laptop, and two wi-fi networks with free internet access for students.
