A School for One America, Cobàn:
The School for One America (La Escuela para una Amèrica), right in the center of Cobàn, Alta Verapaz, Guatemala, is the perfect place for individual students or small groups to learn Spanish and get to know the local culture! You can study with our experienced teachers anywhere from a few hours to a few months and can start whenever you′d like. Stay with one of our terrific host families for a truely authentic Guatemalan experience!

Spanish:Guatemala is internationally known for its Spanish schools, and Cobán is possibly the best place in Guatemala to learn, thanks to the low tourist-population, inclusive culture and variety of activities to participate in.
Our school is small, but has dedicated and experienced teachers. Most of our classes are one-on-one but we will happily arrange lessons for small groups! Contact us with any questions!
Q´eqchi:Q´eqchi is the indigenous Mayan language of Alta Verapaz and is spoken by many in the region, especially in rural areas. Our Q´eqchi students receive the same one-on-one attention as Spanish students.
English:Locals interested in learning English can receive classes at low prices taught by native English speakers.
