Intensive Spanish Courses in Granada, South of Spain

IMSOL-Granada was established in 1993 in the beautiful city of the Alhambra, which is considered one of the Wonders of the World. Spanish Language Schools / Classes1. Intensive Spanish Course I:
4 classes per day. This course has 2 classes of communicative grammar and 2 classes of vocabulary and conversation, with oral and writing practice, covering the linguistic skills (listening, speaking, reading and writing).

2. Intensive Spanish Course II:
With 2 classes of communicative grammar; 2 classes of vocabulary and conversation, with oral and writing practice; and 1 extra class of grammar review or communicative practice with new vocabulary and expressions. All the 4 skills (listening, speaking, reading and writing) are covered in the course.

3. Superintensive Spanish Course:
6 classes / day. This course has 2 classes of communicative grammar; 2 classes of vocabulary and conversation, with oral and writing practice; and 2 extra classes of grammar review or communicative practice with new vocabulary and expressions.
All the 4 skills (listening, speaking, reaSpanish Language Schools / Classesding and writing) are covered in the course.

4. Combined Course:
This course has 4 classes / day in group (2 classes of communicative grammar and 2 classes of vocabulary and conversation, with oral and writing practice) plus 1 individual lesson per day where the contents suit the participants’ learning needs and preferences.
All the 4 skills (listening, speaking, reading and writing) are covered in the course.

5. One-to-One Spanish Lessons:
Students can choose the number of individual classes per week they wish to attend. "Tailor-made" classes for suiting the participant's learning, professional interests and needs. These individual classes can be combined with all the courses we offer.

6. Preparatory Courses for Diploma de Español como Lengua Extranjera (D.E.L.E.):
The Diplomas de Español como Lengua Extranjera (DELE) are official certificates, which prove the Spanish coSpanish Language Schools / Classesmpetence and command, given by Instituto Cervantes on behalf of the Spanish Ministry of Education and Science. There are three levels: DELE Beginner, Intermediate and Proficiency level.
IMSOL offers preparatory courses for the Diplomas de Español como Lengua Extranjera (D.E.L.E.) exams. This course has 5 classes / day specifically centred in familiarizing participants with the 5 different tests involved in the exam:
Oral Expression
Reading Comprehension
Use of Language
Writing
It is necessary that participants have already approximately the level of the exam they wish to do If not, IMSOL will inform about the best option for them
(Examination charges are not included in the price of the course but we can arrange the papers for the inscription and provide participants with all the information about the dates and time of the different exams, etc. because we are a FEDELE Granada centre, organizer of DELE of Instituto Cervantes in this city).

7. Spanish Classes for Seniors:
These courses are drawn up for people from 50 years old who wish to learn or improve their Spanish. All the 4 skills (listening, speaking, reading and writing) are covered in the course with a class rythm and contents much more communicative and adapted to the real needs of this collective.

8. Grammar Courses:
These course has 2 classes on communicative grammar per day, covering all the 4 skills (listening, speaking, reading and writing).

9. Conversation and Vocabulary Courses:
These course has 2 classes on vocabulary and conversation, with oral and writing production per day, covering the 4 skills (listening, speaking, reading and writing).

10. SPANISH STUDIES General Course:
It consists on 4 or 5 lessons per day of grammar, conversation and studies on literature, history and culture of Spain and Latin-America.
All the 4 skills (listening, speaking, reading and writing) are covered in the course.

11. SPANISH STUDIES Spanish and Latinoamerican Literature:
This course deals with the most important aspects of the Spanish and Latin-American literature of every period.
All the 4 skills (listening, speaking, reading and writing) are covered in the course.

12. SPANISH STUDIES: Spanish and Latinoamerican History:
This course deals with the most important aspects of the Spanish and Latin-American history.
All the 4 skills (listening, speaking, reading and writing) are covered in the course.

13. SPANISH STUDIES: Commercial Spanish (2 classes/day)
The course deals with the most important aspects of the Spanish and Latin-American sociocultural reality, going through the main artistic manifestations, the most relevant historical events and the geopolitical conditions that influence our current moment.
All the 4 skills (listening, speaking, reading and writing) are covered in the course.

14. SPANISH STUDIES: Medical Spanish:
This course is drawn up for professional of the medical sector, for those who wish to focus their professional career in this field or for people who would like to improve their Spanish in this sector. All the 4 skills (listening, speaking, reading and writing) are covered in the course.
The content of this course is oriented to the exams for the Official Certificate of Medical Spanish (Certificado Básico de Español de las Ciencias de la Salud; Certificado Superior de Español de las Ciencias de la Salud), carried out by the Madrid Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the University of Alcalá. Our school is one of the Official Examining Centres for this exam.

15. SPANISH STUDIES: Tourism Spanish:
This course is drawn up for professional of the tourism sector, for people who would like to focus their professional career in this field or for those who wish to improve their Spanish in this sector. All the 4 skills (listening, speaking, reading and writing) are covered in the course.
The content of this course is oriented to the exams for the Official Certificate of Tourism Spanish (Certificado Básico de Español del Turismo; Certificado Superior de Español del Turismo), carried out by the Madrid Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the University of Alcalá. Our school is one of the Official Examining Centres for this exam.

16. Courses for Teachers of E/LE:
The teacher training course is a two week course with 20 lessons / week and it is offered not only for teachers with a proficiency level of Spanish but also for teachers with other levels of the language or students who want to become teachers. They have special starting dates, but with a minimum of 3 participants, we can carry them out on any date. There are three options, depending on the participants’ needs:
OPTION A: Teachers who have an intermediate level of Spanish and are therefore more interested in improving grammar rather than methodology. This course is especially interesting for Primary School teachers.
Distribution of lessons: 1st and 2nd lessons: M1. 3rd lesson: M3. 4th hour: M4.
OPTION B: Students interested in becoming teachers of Spanish as a Foreign Language, who need to increase their knowledge of the Spanish language and also need more experience of teaching methods.
Distribution of lessons: 1st lesson: M1. 2nd lesson: M2. 3rd lesson: M3. 4th hour: M4.
OPTION C: Spanish teachers who have a very advanced level of Spanish and therefore do not need any lessons on grammar anymore. This course is for those who want to broaden their range of teaching methods and their knowledge of Spanish culture and traditions.
Distribution of lessons: 1st and 2nd lessons: M2. 3rd lesson: M3. 4th hour: M4.
Subjects:
M1: Spanish grammar in group lessons, depending on level.
M2: Methodology of Spanish as a Foreign Language: techniques, resources, classroom management. Lessons recorded on video for later analysis and comment by the group and teacher trainer.
M3: General topics of Spanish culture (literature, history, traditions...).
M4: Conversation and round table about general affairs concerning Spain in which the teacher will act as supervisor.

17. Courses for Groups:
Instituto Mediterráneo Sol offers Group Stays (since 1993) organized either for adults (groups of friends coming together), or teenagers (groups of students accompanied by their teachers or monitors). With a minimum of 5 participants, the school can arrange this course all year round and with a minimum duration of 1 week. It is a personalized programme and it can be chosen among these opstions:
Type of Intensive Spanish course: 15, 20 and 25 lessons / week, according to the school course planning and levels or according to the teacher or group organizer's indications (option for students coming with the same level).
