QUITO and CUENCA:Our school in Quito is located just a few minutes walk from the center of La Mariscal district, an area where all tourism services are located: shops, cafeterias, restaurants, hotels, galleries, museums, photo labs, craft markets, among many others.

In Cuenca, the school is located in the heart of the historic district, one block away from the main square and the Cathedral. The school building is an old colonial-style house with more than 30 rooms available for classes.

In both schools, varied activities are offered in the afternoons, such as salsa, cooking or cocktail lessons as well as lectures about Ecuadorian culture, history, idiomatic expressions, etc. During the weekend, trips are organized to wonderful places nearby.

Over the years, we have built up a team of talented and experienced teachers who offer the perfect Spanish learning experience that suit individual needs. Students can live with a host family, which is a very enriching experience that allows practicing the language while learning more about the culture. Apartment (Quito) and Hotel accommodation are also offered.

JUNGLE:Simon Bolivar Spanish School offers a 1-week program at the Yarina Lodge. The program combines Spanish lessons with varied guided trips, such as hiking, bird watching, observation of local flora and fauna, visit an indigenous community, among many others.

Yarina (name in Quichua of the Tagua´s palm tree) is considered a unique place in this region, offering 20 huts that can accommodate up to 50 people, made from typical materials like bamboo, Pambil palm and toquilla straw. It is located on the Napo river, only 60 minutes far from Puerto Francisco de Orellana by canoe.

COAST:Simon Bolivar Spanish School offers a 1-week program at the Alandaluz Lodge. The program combines Spanish lessons with varied options to relax. The lodge is located right in front of a beautiful beach. During free time, students can visit the Machalilla National Park which is the only national park of Ecuador located at the Coast, and also visit many amazing beaches not far from the lodge.

Alandaluz means "winged city of light". Their principal objective is offering hotel services that can be self-sustaining and with minimal impact on the environment. The cabins, rooms, and structures of the hotel are built primarily from local materials such as bamboo cane and tagua palm leaves. The hotel architecture is different, unique, and fun.
