Colonial Spanish School is located in Quito, we provide Spanish lessons for all levels. Our school was founded in 1991 by an European and an Ecuadorian, with the aim of bringing together the best of European and Latin American culture: European gravity and structure with South American "joy of life". This doesn't mean that we only take European students in fact, many of our students come from Canada, the United States, Australia and New Zealand, for example.

Group Spanish Classes: Groupattention program 4 hours per day (maximum 4 students), Monday to Friday, This is a great way to meet people and learn the language in a confortable atmosphere. Guaranteed communicative method is characterized by rapid progress in real life conversations combined with the intensive study of grammar, vocabulary, reading and pronunciation. The lessons are appropriate for all levels of Spanish ability. You could participate in these classes with your friends or alone
Online Course: Before your arrival in Quito or before start your Spanish course you could recieve some lesson through the Internet or after finishing classes at the school our students can continue studying Spanish through the Internet. This course requires about 2 hours a week. Students do exercises, write in their diary, and perform addtional activities. This work is sent to the school by email and a few days is returned with the appropriate corrections. We also include explanations of grammar or any other problems that the student may have.
Immersion program: We offer this free to all our students, to help you to quickly acclimatize to life here in Quito. Whatever the time/day, we’ll pick you up at the airport and take you to your accommodation. On your first day of study, we’ll pick you up and take you to the school, introduce you to the teachers, and show you around the school. When you’ve finished your classes, we’ll take you back to your accommodation.
In the following days we’ll be at hand to help you with cashing travellers’ cheques, finding ATMs you can use, making calls back home, etc. We’ll show you a little of Quito and help you get to know the (sometimes confusing) transport system. Basically, we’ll help you get to know and feel at home in Quito.
Cultural program: We organize one or two cultural events per week. In the day we organize visits to museums, galleries, cultural centres etc. In the evenings we go to restaurants, bars, music concerts, the theatre, etc. These trips give you a chance to learn more about Ecuadorian culture, but also give you the chance to get to know other students and teachers better, and of course, to practice your Spanish.
