Diploma of Fitness:
The Government accredited Diploma of Fitness course is setting a new standard in the fitness arena. By recognising the growing rate of discussion based around personal health and fitness the Fitness Industry Training package is streamlining education to ensure high standards are delivered. This course is unique in that ACNT has combined two separate qualifications from two Nationally Recognised Training Packages. This course is great for those who wish to be advanced personal or group fitness trainers and be able to work in a wide variety of environments. This qualification may lead to employment in the following areas: Fitness Specialist, Gym Operations Manager, Fitness/Gym Programme Manager, Massage Therapist.
Diploma of Sport (Athlete Support Services):
This course is a comprehensive massage qualification and is designed to equip students with the necessary skills to enter the diverse world of sport. In addition to the full curriculum of the Diploma of Remedial Massage course, students will learn how to use sports massage across a wide range of sports, making this course ideal for aspiring coaches, trainers and sports massage therapists. Students will also learn sports nutrition, sports psychology and sports taping techniques and sports management.
Diploma of Fitness and Diploma of Sport:
This course is a dual qualification course bringing together two diploma qualifications from two Nationally Recognised Training Packages. This course is particularly for people who are interested in rehabilitation as graduates are able to provide a complete service. The Diploma of Fitness teaches leadership and self-direction skills to enable graduates to effectively plan and initiate programmes. The Diploma of Sport component of this course is a comprehensive massage course which includes the full curriculum of the Diploma of Remedial Massage course, and is designed to equip students with the necessary skills to enter the diverse world of sport.
Certificate IV in Fitness:
Trains students to become personal trainers, as such, graduates will be able to operate their own personal training business as well as being a member of a larger organisation such as a gym or fitness centre. Graduates will use the leadership skills learnt in this course to work with smaller groups and in less controlled situations. This course includes the full curriculum of the Certificate III in Fitness. Students will also learn more advanced fitness modules such as fitness for special populations and personal trainers. In addition the course covers sports psychology, symptomatology and diagnosis for sports injuries and business administration.
Certificate III in Fitness:
This course is a great introduction to the fitness industry. With this qualification graduates will be able to work as a fitness instructor with low risk clients in a gym or fitness centre. Students will learn to plan and deliver group exercises with and without music. The Certificate III in Fitness may be used as a stepping stone into more advanced fitness courses such a
s the Diploma of Fitness.
Diploma of Fitness and Diploma of Remedial Massage:
This 2 year full-time course also is a dual qualification course bringing together two diploma qualifications from two Nationally Recognised Training Packages.
With both fitness and remedial massage training, you will have a broad range of complementary skills to use in advanced personal or group fitness training and to be able to work in a wide variety of environments. The Diploma of Fitness teaches leadership and self-direction skills to enable graduates to effectively plan and initiate programmes. This course is great for those who wish to be advanced personal or group fitness trainers and be able to work in a wide variety of environments. This qualification may lead to employment in the following areas: Fitness Specialist, Gym Operations Manager, Fitness/Gym Programme Manager, Massage Therapist.
The Diploma of Remedial Massage component of this course involves the use of massage therapy and a wide range of diagnostic techniques to treat a variety of ailments pertaining to the musculoskeletal system. Students will be taught to deal with a wide range of musculoskeletal problems utilising basic and advanced massage techniques such as trigger points, sports injury treatments, myofascial release and lymphatic drainage. A strong emphasis is placed on anatomy, basic pathology, as well as symptomatology and diagnosis.
