English as a Second Language (ESL) students are everywhere in North America. The number of international students learning English is on the rise with no end in sight! But what about the number of North Americans learning a foreign language?

In 2002, we decided this was an important question to ask and set out to try to find an answer. With years of experience in teaching ESL as well as managing and marketing ESL schools we had a pretty good sense of the benefits of learning a foreign language (and these benefits go way beyond straight language skills!). But it became apparent to us that while international students were enthusiastically embracing the benefits of immersion programs, most North American teens were trapped in the classroom trying to master a foreign language on less than 100 hours of language instruction per year!

If you've been searching for a language and cultural immersion program you know there are countless options. So, with all of these choices it can he hard to decide which program is right for you.

This is where we come in! We've used our years of experience working in the language travel industry to set a criteria for what we believe makes an excellent program (and why would you settle for anything that is less than excellent!). Each of the programs you see featured on our site meet and often exceed this criteria. But it's not enough to simply offer the best programs; our goal is to help you evaluate each of the options for your language of interest so we can help you select the one that's the perfect fit!

We are here to help you every step of the way, from language and location selection to choosing lesson intensity, reviewing accommodation options and even making recommendations for flights.

But that's only the beginning. Once you make your program booking we also provide a wealth of support and information about how to prepare for your immersion program experience. And once you've arrived at your destination, we are available throughout the program to help you (and your family!) adjust to the challenges of language learning, being in an unfamiliar place, culture shock and jet lag. We even have 24 hour emergency numbers where you or your family can get live support for urgent issues.
