Arts University Bournemouth:
Arts University Bournemouth (AUB) offers short study abroad / semester programs for international students who wish to study arts in the UK. AUB is situated between the cities of Bournemouth and Poole in Dorset on the South Coast of England, less than two hours from London. You can study alongside full-time degree or diploma students for one term (10 weeks), one semester (20 weeks) or a full academic year (30 weeks). You can choose from a range of art and design courses, including Textiles.

Study Abroad Textiles Program:
AUB offers a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Textiles and international students will be fully integrated with existing degree students for one term, a semester or one academic year. Courses start in September and January each year and coincide with the academic timetable. You can expect to spend between 15 and 30 hours per week on each course.

Course Content:
The Textiles course covers the breadth of the textiles discipline and its applications including stitch embellishment, surface print, dyeing and construction processes.

Traditional skills are taught together with expertise in design development and production. You will have the opportunity to focus on a variety of specialist areas, including textiles for interiors, textiles for fashion, and textiles as art/crafts.

Portfolio Submission:
If you wish to do a Semester Study Abroad course at the AUB, you must first submit a portfolio, which will be reviewed by the course leader and a panel. They will use your portfolio to the most appropriate year of study in the course for each candidate.

University / College Credit:
On successful completion of a semester course, you will be given a certificate showing the credits you have earned at AUB. You may be able to transfer credits earned on modules completed at AUB to your own university.
