Camera School offers film photograpy training in the North London borough of Haringey. We offer a Practical Cinematography Course run by DoP of Oscar winning film Peter and the Wolf. This course is aimed at filmmakers of all film professions especially directors who want to extend their knowledge about different aspects of film photography as the main storytelling device. The course is planned for 6 sessions of 8 to 10 hours each, happening over 6 consecutive Saturdays. The scheme of each day includes a short introduction in form of the lecture at the beginning of each day followed by practical exercises accompanied by necessary tutoring. For the exercises will use typical indie kit consisting of HDV camera with 35mil. lens adaptor, set of Prime Lenses and Light set connsisting of 5 HMI units and grip equipment. We will explore the basics of filmaking starting from the formats and lenses through framing, light and coverage to get to the depth of different aspects of visual storytelling.
