The Arts Institute At Bournemouth: The Arts Institute is situated on the border of the adjoining towns of Bournemouth and Poole on the beautiful, lively south coast of England. Our golden beaches are undoubtedly among the best in the country, making Poole and Bournemouth one of the most popular tourist destinations in the UK, attracting 4 million visitors each year.

The Arts Institute (the Wallisdown campus) is situated two miles from the centre of Bournemouth, on the border between Bournemouth and Poole.
Arriving by Road
The best way to approach the Wallisdown campus from the east or north is via the A338 (known locally as the Wessex Way).
Take the exit at the Richmond Hill Roundabout (next to the Standard Life building), then take the third exit from this roundabout and proceed along Wimborne Road. At the four-way Junction (intersection with traffic lights) turn left (the road continues as Wimborne Road then becomes Talbot Avenue), and proceed over the next three roundabouts. At the fourth roundabout take the first left into Fern Barrow and continue straight ahead (over the mini roundabout). Take your first left into the Wallisdown campus.
If you are travelling from the west, approach Poole on the A35, then follow the signs for Bournemouth (A3049) taking the dual carriagway past Tower Park (Dorset Way). The Wallisdown Campus is on the A3049 (Wallisdown Road).
By Rail
The nearest station to the Arts Institute is Bournemouth Train Station, which is served by a fast inter-city rail link from London Waterloo. There are also regular trains to Bournemouth from Poole, Southampton and other major cities. The Wallisdown Campus is located approximately 1.5 miles from the train station and is a 5-10 minute journey by taxi. Bus numbers 6a, 6b or 6c (Yellow Buses - hourly service) will take you from Bournemouth Train/Coach Station (Travel Interchange) to the Arts Institute campus.
By Coach
Frequent coach services run to Bournemouth from many large centres. Journey time from London is approximately 2 hours and 30 minutes. The Bournemouth Train/Coach Station (known as the Travel Interchange) is located on the ground level of the Asda Superstore next to the railway station. Bus number 6a, 6b or 6c (Yellow Buses - hourly service) will take you from Bournemouth Train/Coach Station (Travel Interchange) to the Arts Institute campus - A journey by taxi is approximately 10-15 minutes.
By Air
London Heathrow is approximately 1 hour 45 minutes by road from Bournemouth. London Gatwick is some 2 hours and 30 minutes away. Both airports are served by direct coach/rail links from Bournemouth. Southampton International Airport is 35 minutes away by road and serves as a main station on the rail route between Bournemouth and London (approximately 25 minutes by train). Southampton serves a number of UK and European destinations.
Bournemouth Airport is approximately 15 minutes away from town by road and also serves a number of destinations. There is no direct rail link to and from the Airport, but taxis are plentiful, as are frequent local bus services.
