All of our ESL schools in the UK offer the Vacation English course which is ideally suited to students who want to combine learning the English language with sightseeing and leisure activities. The course consists of 20 General English lessons per week and the Kaplan International Colleges optional activities program will give the opportunity to explore the highlights of your host country in your spare time. We also offer a 50+ Vacation Course for mature students in our Bath, Salisbury and Torquay language schools.
In addition to the Vacation English programs, we also offer summer and year-round courses in General English, Intensive English, Business English, IELTS Exam Preparation and Cambridge Exam Preparation.

Vacation English Course:
The Vacation English course is our least intensive course option, helping you to improve your English language skills but leaving you with plenty of free time for sightseeing and leisure activities. You should choose this program if:
- You want to combine English classes with a holiday
- You want to choose how long you want to study, with courses from 2 weeks to 52 weeks
- You want to practise your new English skills whilst out sightseeing or during organised social activities
- You want to study in a suitable class for your English level
- You want to receive a certificate at the end of your course
The Vacation English program consists of 20 General English lessons per week, which is a total of 15 hours of English tuition. The Kaplan International Colleges optional activities program will give the opportunity to explore the highlights of your host country in your spare time. The course is aimed at students over the age of 16 with elementary to advanced levels of English. The average class size is 12 and the maximum class size is 15 which ensures that each student receives individual attention.
50+ Vacation Course for mature students:
The 50+ Vacation Course for mature students is offered at our Torquay, Salisbury and Bath schools. It is designed to offer an adult English course which is a holiday with a difference! Mature students can revive their English skills while exploring Bath, Torquay and Salisbury. The program length is four weeks.
The course is offered to mature students and includes General English classes which focus on the four main disciplines of reading, writing, speaking and listening, as well as a social program with at least 3 activities per week, allowing students to improve their English language skills, while experiencing a new culture, sport or tourist attraction. Accommodation options are carefully chosen and can be adapted to individual needs.

Our English school in Covent Garden in the heart of London is situated in a historic, listed building dating from the 18th century which has been fully refurbished and modernised. The college has an exciting international community atmosphere, a comprehensive range of courses, excellent learning facilities and a fantastic location in a world-class capital city with something to suit all tastes.
Our London - Leicester Square English school also enjoys a fabulous location in central London. Leicester Square is only two minutes away, as is Trafalgar Square with Nelson's Column and the Lions! Piccadilly Circus and Covent Garden are also both within walking distance.
English School in Bath:Bath is located close to the city of Bristol in South-West England. A wonderful mix of traditional grandeur and modern vibrancy, Bath is one of Britain’s most visited, best preserved cities with stunning architecture and ancient Roman baths. Our English school is located in the heart of Bath, less than one minute’s walk from shops, cafés and restaurants. It has pleasantly furnished classrooms complemented by a computer centre and library.
Learn English in Bournemouth:
Bournemouth is a large resort town in South-West England, located between Southampton and Plymouth. One of the most popular seaside resorts in England with over seven miles of beautiful golden beaches, this town is also very popular with international language students. Summer shows, great nightlife and excellent shopping all make Bournemouth a year-round destination for tourists.
Our English school in Bournemouth is situated in the area of Westbourne, roughly 5 minutes by bus from Bournemouth town centre.
Study English in Cambridge:Cambridge is a world-famous university city in the East of England, located approximately 50 miles from London. This famous town combines the tranquil beauty of its university with a busy town centre that offers a range of shops, pubs and first class restaurants. It also boasts a lively arts scene with a variety of theatres, concerts and exhilbitions.
Our English college is west of the city centre in the quiet residential area of Newnham, a 10-minute bus ride away from the centre. The college has its own gardens where we hold barbeques on warm summer evenings.
English School in Oxford:
The historic city of Oxford is located in South-East England and is home to the world's oldest English-speaking university. Within easy reach of London by bus or train, Oxford's city centre bustles with interesting shops, lively markets and a wide range of galleries and museums. For relaxation, there is lots to do, including river punting, leisurely strolls through Christchurch Meadow, visiting Oxford colleges or enjoying the atmosphere of a traditional pub.
The college is situated just 10 minutes north of Oxford's city centre and has a beautiful garden and courtyard at the back of the building, the perfect area for summer barbeques and sporting activities.
ESL School in Manchester:Manchester, in the North-West of England, was the world's first industrialised city and today is a university city and a major centre for the arts, media, higher education and commerce. Students can enjoy vibrant nightlife, fantastic shopping opportunities and a diverse arts and cultural scene including galleries, museums, theatres and music venues. Manchester is also the home of two well known premier league football teams, making this the perfect destination for sports fans.
Our English school is centrally located on Oxford Street, within walking distance of a variety of restaurants, bars and theatres. Facilities include large, well-equipped classrooms, a multimedia centre and a student common room with vending machines and internet access.
English School in Torquay:The popular resort of Torquay on the English Riviera in the South of England is located in one of the UK's most beautiful regions. Attracting around four million visitors annually, the area's warm microclimate, clean golden beaches, stunning coastal wals, tropical palm trees, and stylish marinas have earned it the name of the English Riviera. The town is also well known as the birthplace of Agatha Christie. The surrounding countryside (Dartmoor National Park) is renowned for its beauty and is ideal for walks. Students are drawn here by the relaxed, welcoming and safe atmosphere, the beach life and variety of sports on offer. Our college is just three minutes's walk from the centre of town, enabling you to sample everything on offer locally.

Salisbury is a city in south-west England that is rich in history and home to one of the UK's most beautiful cathedrals. Close to the World Heritage Site of Stonehenge, this city of 40,000 inhabitants is a bustling community. Salisbury boasts a thriving market, fascinating old streets, traditional pubs, restaurants and shops, and even a cinema entered via a medieval banqueting hall! Enjoy breathtaking views from Britains's tallest cathedral spire, find a bargain at the busy twice-weekly market, take part in one of the many sports available or explore the New Forest, Salisbury Plain or one of the scenic villages all close by.
English School in Edinburgh:Come to our English school in Scotland, the home of kilts, castles and ceilidhs and experience the legendary, warm Scottish welcome. From extinct volcanoes to historic castles and beautiful rugged coastlines, there is much to see and do in this ancient land.
Our British Council accredited English school is located in the centre of vibrant and bustling Edinburgh. From the hilltop castle you can look down on medieval lanes that hold over a thousand years of history, tradition and mystery.
