English Learning Adventure is based near the coast at the tidal estuary of the Thames River which flows through London. We are located in Hadleigh which is 5 minutes from Old Leigh, Essex . Hadleigh and Old Leigh are both steeped in history. Leigh is beautifully picturesque and still operates as a fishing town - it is famous for its cockles, mussels and other delicious sea food which are caught locally. According to a poll in the Times newspaper, Leigh-on-Sea is one of the 10 most sought after towns in which to live in England. We are only 45 minutes from London by train and 1 hour by car from Cambridge.

Location and Facilities:

The house is conveniently only 5 minutes from the local train station. We are only 1 hours drive from Stansted, Gatwick and Heathrow airports and just 45 minutes by train from London. Should you choose to visit them while you are staying with us, nearby are Cambridge and Oxford, both of which are university towns with wonderful architecture and history.
