London Art Portfolio:
Located in Central London next to Tower Bridge, London Art Portfolio (LAP) runs art and design portfolio preparation specialist courses in the day and evening throughout the year as well as bespoke one-one tutorials. We have a number of studios where we deliver training in the following fields: painting, sculpture, fashion and textile design, fashion photography, animation and illustration. LAP was set up by Julia Dennis, a practicing artist who exhibits regularly, nationally and internationally.
Art Portfolio Preparation & Training Courses in London:
The studios are based at 185 Tower Bridge Road, SE1 2UF (next to Tower Bridge!)
Group Art Workshop Classes:
Group art tuition is limited to 10 students per class, to maintain quality tutoring in order to meet everyones needs. This allows students to build up their confidence in a more intimate environment, feeling free to ask questions and learn. Group classes are: two hours or four hours. They are an ideal environment to meet new people and make new creative friends as well as an opportunity to draw on location in some of London’s finest Museums, architecture and gardens. Specific bespoke programs can be designed to meet your needs, please enquire. Prior booking is essential in order to guarantee a place in the class.
Portfolio Preparation Courses:
Julia has many years of experience in preparing portfolios for Degree applications, organising exhibitions and preparing students for interviews. She has great success in placing British and International tutees onto the right course at the right level at any stage in your career in any of the following: Fine Art, Fashion and Textile Design, Graphic Design, Photography and 3D Design / Architecture.
One-to-one Portfolio Tutorials:
Individual tutorials are suitable for complete beginners to advanced level. One-to-One tuition is flexible and ideal for maximum personal attention. Sessions take place at Julia’s studios at 185 Tower Bridge Road, SE1 2UF next to Tower Bridge! Sometimes we have sessions In a museum or gallery; Historic place; Famous gardens and parks, or at at special events & exhibitions such as the Chelsea Flower Show, London Architecture Festival, Henley Regatta, Chinese New Year, City of London Festival or choose one of your own. There is so much happening in London the whole year round!
We offer our one-to-one art portfolio tuition for one-hour sessions although we recommend students to consider 2 hr tutorials minimum. Bespoke action plans are drawn up to meet your specific needs.
International MA Art & Design Portfolio Preparation Course - 6-weeks:
London Art Portfolio offers a 6 week Portfolio Preparation Course which is aimed at international applicants, but is also available for UK applicants. Great for 'Change of Career' applicants too. We have in-depth working experience of International Education systems and policy so we know what the international applicant is looking for. We also try to help with internship and work experience links too!
Our Intense 12 week, 6 week and 4 week programmes gets you ready for those deadline applications at all levels: MA Degree and Foundation, including support with yourt application statement. This is also ideal for change of career and mature applicants too.

WEEK 1-2:
Introduce & develop drawing skills, materials, processes & technique, to be ready for UK Arts School applications.Visit Museums & galleries. Historical Research in Fine Art & Design.
WEEK 3-4:
Concept building & Idea development: International Contemporary Research in specialist areas. Select & prepare for week 5-6.
WEEK 5-6:
Preliminary sketches for composition & design for your specialist area. Be innovative in 2D & 3D. Presentation skills, prepare & select for your Portfolio.

- 6 week Intense Portfolio Preparation Course (4 days per week 10am-1pm)
- 4 week Portfolio Preparation Course (4 days per week 10am-1pm)
