13. Language & Music For Little Ones
Courses / Programs
Held in Llandovery College in Carmarthenshire in south-west Wales, Language & Music for Little Ones is a summer course for 4-10 year olds. Affiliated to Language and Music for Life (LMFL), and taking place in the same advanced music-making environment as their other summer music and language courses, we welcome families as well as unaccompanied children ages 8-10.

Our junior students participate in group and individual music tuition, taught by the world-class teachers from the main LMFL summer school (for older children & adults). We offer one-on-one lessons in most instruments, and students can choose to have several 1/2 hour lessons throughout the day. In addition, we provide tutored activities for all children, including Chamber Music & Children's Choir.

We believe that all young children have the ability to learn and appreciate music and languages. Learning an instrument from an early age helps to develop many valuable life skills - including discipline, communication, leadership and confidence. Our unique course helps to foster these skills. We believe that this summer experience will develop their characters and enrich their lives.

This course offers an opportunity for deeper relationships between parents and their children through mutual learning, support and practice. Older children & parents accompanying young student would choose activities on the main LMFL course, but with carefully-prepared timetables to ensure family & child supervision times are taken into account.
