Summer English Camps for Juniors in England

Kaplan International Colleges:
Kaplan International Colleges offer summer English courses in the South of England for young children and teenagers between the ages of 12 and 18. Our summer ESL programs are taken by students from all around the world who wish to learn English in the UK and experience English culture and hospitality first-hand. Our summer courses for juniors are held in the following locations in the South of England: London, Leeds, Bath, Bournemouth, Salisbury, Stamford and Torquay.

Summer English Courses include:
- 15 lessons (45 mins per lesson) of English language tuition per week for beginner, intermediate and advanced levels
- 30 lessons of intensive English a week in Salisbury
- International classes with a maximum of 15 students per class to ensure that each student receives individual attention
- Depending on their age, students stay in either homestay accommodation with a local English host family or in full board residential accommodation.

Summer Festival - A Memory of a Lifetime!
The K Festival is the big event of the summer where the students from all our centres over the UK come together for a day of laughter and friendship. The festival, designed specifically for young teenagers, will have live music, entertainers, sports competitions and much more. Most excitingly we are going to make an attempt to break a world record so that everyone who attends will have a memory that they can take home and share.

Located close to Bristol, in South-West England, Bath is one of the UK’s most visited and best preserved cities with stunning architecture, fascinating history and a glorious valley setting. Our English summer school in Bath offers English courses for children and teenagers aged between 14-17 that can be taken from 2-4 weeks. Our junior English school is located in the heart of the city and offers comfortably furnished classrooms and a large student common room.

Accommodation options are homestay accommodation with local host families, dormitory accomodation or university student residence.

Leeds English Summer School:
Based at the picturesque Headingley Campus of Leeds Metropolitan University campus, our English summer school in Leeds offer courses for teenagers between 14-17 years old that last from 2-4 weeks. The coolest student city in Britain, Leeds is the place for shopping, art and culture

- Included in the social programme: 1 full-day and 1 half-day trip, 4 afternoon activities, 2 evening activities per week
- Optional social programme:  Full-day optional trips available on Sundays (charges apply)

The English summer school located at Bournemouth University offers summer English classes for teenagers aged between 14-17 that can be taken from 2-4 weeks. Bournemouth is a vibrant coastal town in the South of England with 12km of sandy beaches and provides the perfect school environment for a great student lifestyle with first-class cultural attractions and sports facilities.

Our international students can choose between single rooms in shared apartments in the Talbot Campus student village or homestay accommodation with local host families.
 
London Bushy English Summer School:
Conveniently located only 20 minutes from central London by train, this summer English course is based at St. Margaret's school on the edge of Bushey, a pleasant town in Hertfordshire. Our English summer courses are available to teenagers aged between 14-17 (homestay) and 12-16 (Residential) and can be taken for 2-4 weeks.

Accommodation is available in single and twin rooms with friendly homestay hosts in the local areas of  Bushey, Watford and Rickmansworth. Full-board meal provision and students benefit from a daily shuttle bus service between designated pick-up points and St. Margaret’s. Most homestays are located a short walk from the nearest pick-up point.

Included in the social programme: 1 full-day and 1 half-day trip, 4 afternoon activities, 2 evening activities per week.

This English summer school located on Kingston University's campus in southwest London offers summer English courses for teenagers between 14-17 that last from 2-4 weeks. The school  is located in a historical market town with a stunning riverside location only 20km from central London. Excellent facilities offered including well-equipped modern classrooms, lecture theatres, internet suite, Students Union club and shop, playing fields, common room, arts and crafts room and theatre.

Accommodation for our international students is provided in single bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms in a secure purpose-built village, situated in a quiet residential area 20 minutes’ walk from campus. Other facilities include shared common room with television and pool tables, and adjoining fields for evening games.

Salisbury Summer English School:
The English summer school in Salisbury in South-West England offers summer English classes for teenagers aged between 12-17 that can be taken from 2-4 weeks. Our Salisbury students are taught either at St. Martin's Annexe - part of Kaplan's year-round English school which provides a pleasant and well-equipped learning environment - or at the nearby Salisbury campus of Wiltshire College. There are various accommodation options depending on the age of the student: 13-17 years old (Homestay) and 12-17 (Residential).

Torquay is a safe, friendly seaside resort known as the English Riviera and enjoys a fantastic climate, clean golden beaches and scenic surroundings. Our English summer school in Torquay offers summer English courses for juniors aged between 14-17 that can be taken from 2-10 weeks. 

Our international students stay in single and twin rooms in a caring homestay environment. All hosts live within walking distance of the junior English school. All meals provided.

Stamford English Summer School:
Located approximately 160km north of London, Stamford is a town in the county of Lincolnshire. The English summer school located at Stamford offers summer English classes for teenagers aged between 12-16 that can be taken from 2-4 weeks. Stamford English summer school offers outstanding sports facilities in incredible grounds, set in the stunning surroundings of the town of Stamford.

All of Kaplan's junior English schools have a Course Director, who leads a team of trained, experienced and professional teachers. While children and teenagers are studying at our junior English schools, Kaplan provides high staffing levels to ensure the quality of care and welfare that juniors require when away from home. Parents can therefore rest assured that their children are in safe hands during their Kaplan English class.

At each of our centers, we have a dedicated welfare officer whose responsibility is to ensure that students are healthy and happy while staying with Kaplan. All of our staff are happy to help with any issues that students may have. In addition, in case of any medical matters arising, most centers have staff members trained in First Aid, and all centers have a first aid kit on site, as well as close links with local doctors, dentists and hospitals.
