Emerald City Homestay is an American Homestay Program with lots of families to choose from in the west of USA. All English lessons are one on one and therefore targeted to your individual needs. You may choose general conversation, test preparation, or English for a specific purpose such as work.

A teacher's homestay is suitable for all ages and language levels. Most student stay on a very short term basis of 1-4 weeks. All teachers are experienced at teaching students just like you! Our teachers and their families are all selected and trained by the staff of ECHS, and we will be in contact with you (and them) throughout your stay to assure your satisfaction. Our basic program includes: 15 hours of private English lessons per week, 3 afternoons of sightseeing with one member of your family, plus all meals. Airport pick up and delivery are optional.

We have dozens of families to choose from in the west of USA including Seattle, San Francisco, Portland, Phoenix, and Sonoma Valley. Families with children, single adults, and newly retired educators are all represented in our host families. The most important consideration is that one member of the family is an experienced English teacher. Many have taught English overseas!
