Early Childhood & Kindergarten (ages 3-5):
SSIS provides a supportive, creative and dynamic environment where your child can experiment and learn through hands-on experience and direct instruction. Classrooms which are organized into experiential centers allow for the development of every area and every style of learning. Our teachers guide each child towards developmental goals through continuous observation and individually-focused adjustments to our core program. Elementary School (Grades 1-5):
SSIS sees experiential learning, within and beyond the classroom walls, as the key to growth and development of young minds. Our students work with a curriculum, which is clearly articulated, based on a set of standards, and reflects an appreciation for the multi-cultural and international character of our student body. Through our curriculum which encourages learning by concept development and self-motivated inquiry, students gain a foundation for analytical thought, creativity and a lifetime of self-directed learning. Middle School (Grades 6-8):
By introducing more structure which is built around our core values and carefully balancing academics with creative subjects we are helping to ensure that the students receive a comprehensive education. While we aim to nurture and encourage individual excellence, our strong sense of community fosters an environment where students work collaboratively and cooperatively. By designing our programs around the premise that learning continues to be enhanced by a process of inquiry, exploration, discovery and thoughtful reflection we are supporting our students in the transitional years before high school. Our programs support the students in recognizing the dignity and worth of each individual.

High School (Grades 9-12):
Our strong high school program, which includes both the IB diploma program and the AP program, helps students to strengthen their development of critical thinking skill, sound research techniques and the application of knowledge. Each student comes to high school with a unique set of strengths, interests and an individual outlook about how to achieve their unique goals and dreams. SSIS offers tailored opportunities for every student to use their high school experience as a springboard to fulfilling those aspirations.

In a world where many employers require a mastery of computer skills and universities are requiring freshmen to arrive with their own computer and sophisticated computing skills, the SSIS high school laptop program is a logical and vital component of their program. As preparation for tertiary education is a key concern for high school students and parents, our counselor works in partnership with students and their families to plan the right pathway towards a positive college experience.
