Massage Therapy Training Institute:
Massage Therapy Training Institute, WellSpring (MTTI-WellSpring) is a nationally accredited massage therapy school in Kansas City, Missouri, and has been focused on Massage therapy and natural health since 1988. While massage at many schools is "just another program", at MTTI-WellSpring it is our total reason for being. This focus provides a very different learning environment and one that produces graduates with much more than just technical skills. At MTTI, students learn to become true healing arts professionals. MTTI-WellSpring prides itself on the strength of our faculty, the depth and diversity of our curriculum, and our small class size. The goal of our programs is to not just prepare you for what's ahead, but to instill a sense of confidence which you will take with you into the real world. Knowing you've been taught by the best is an empowering feeling.

Massage Therapy Program
Our goal is to challenge and inspire students through a holistic approach to massage therapy. As a student in our Massage Therapy Program, you will benefit from a well-balanced curriculum that integrates theory, technique and practical experience. In
addition to extensive hands-on course work, students gain significant experience outside the classroom, interacting with clients in the student clinic, participating in community service events and fullfilling their externship requirements. MTTI-WellSpring offers both a daytime schedule and an evening/weekend schedule to meet different lifestyle needs. Students in our daytime program attend class two days a week for eight hours a day, and complete the program in about 10 months. Our evening students attend class two nights a week plus two weekend classes per month, and complete the program in just over 13 months.
The most unique feature of the Program is the increased emphasis on medical massage, and the incorporation of a basic wellness curriculum. As the massage profession evolves, practitioners are increasingly called upon to assist with pain management, injury rehabilitation and surgical recovery issues. As a result, our Program places increased emphasis on pathology, assessment and treatment of these conditions through a variety of neuromuscular massage techniques. Practitioners also find that clients are increasingly seeking general guidance about how to maintain a healthier lifestyle, and how to accomplish this more naturally. Our program prepares practitioners to provide this guidance with the inclusion of training on general wellness, nutrition and lifestyle management skills, as well as imparting the knowledge of when to refer a client to a specialist in these fields.
