TEFL certification program:TEFL training courses follow international curriculum standards, specifically the Cambridge CELTA and the accredited British Council’s College of Teachers curriculum. The program provides an internationally recognized TEFL certificate to candidates who successfully complet
e a 120 or 150-hour intensive curriculum over four weeks.
In addition, courses include 8 hours of practice teaching experience, designed to prepare participants adequately for teaching English to speakers of other languages.
Students will have the opportunity to take full advantage of the many resources of the established Expanish facilities and staff with possibilities for Spanish language accompaniment classes, leisure and volunteer activities, or even workshops including Argentine tango, traditional Fileteado painting, wine tasting, and more.
Job Placement Facilitations:The Expanish program is based around core teaching method instruction, real classroom observation, and hands-on practice experience, in order to give successful graduates the skills not only to teach the language, but also to plan lessons, design language activities, and instill their own unique teaching method
into the classroom environment.
Upon completion of the TEFL program, students will receive their internationally recognized TEFL certificate and have the opportunity to take advantage of the Expanish TEFL abroad job placement program to find work teaching English right here in Buenos Aires.
With the Expanish TEFL job placement program, support for aspiring teachers does not end with the completion of the program.
Expanish TEFL trained teachers work in local English institutions, give private classes, work as tutors, and even teach corporate classes to business groups.
TEFL+Spanish:TEFL students will have the opportunity to supplement their TEFL course with a week or more of Expanish language courses in order to obtain a working fluency of Spanish in addition to the teaching instruction.
TEFL+Volunteer:Expanish volunteer programs offer TEFL students the enriching experience of putting their newly acquired English teaching skills to good use, working in some of Argentina’s underdeveloped “villas” and teaching the children who live there.
