Cambridge CELTA Course
This is the best known course at this level and a must for an international career in TEFL. The CELT Athens course is 140 hours and trainee groups are small (maximum of 8) for more support and personal attention. CELT Athens offers a 140 course with two types of attendance options:

1. An intensive 4-week course leading to this well-known Cambridge qualification. The course is highly intensive and candidates need to commit themselves fully to ensure a successful outcome but it is also a highly rewarding course which leads trainee teachers to acquiring professional competence in the classroom very quickly. Sessions are every day for four weeks and from Day 1, methodology sessions are immediately followed by teaching as the CELTA is a very practical course with hands-on classroom teaching experience.

2. A part time course which is completed over 12 weeks with input sessions and Teaching Practice twice per week. This is a less intensive option allowing course participants more time although it should be understood that full commitment is necessary for them to be able to attend the course fully. 
Teaching Practice Classes are organised at the centre and they are available throughout the programme. This is perhaps THE most important part of the
CELT Athens is a Recognised Teaching Awards Centre by Cambridge ESOL, which means that the courses are moderated by Cambridge appointed Assessors and that the quality of tuition, support and administration is of a very high standard.CELT Athens organises free classes for these teaching practises. The Certificate is awarded by Cambridge ESOL.

Certificate in TEFL Course
This course has already been attended by many hundreds of teachers working throughout Greece as well as in a multitude of other countries. The course covers younger and older learners and Teaching Practice includes teaching classes of younger pupils in foreign language centres in Athens. A very practical, hands on programme which will help you become a confident and always well-prepared Teacher of English! Certification for this course is provided by CELT Athens. No classroom teaching experience is required for acceptance on this course although a high level of English is expected.

Cambridge DELTA Course
This course leads to a professional qualification at post-graduate level and is one of the most sought after and well respected qualifications internationally. It is recognised by all British Universities and is fast becoming a prerequisite for some of the most interesting jobs in our field all over the world. The CELT course is ideal for experienced and qualified teachers wishing to enhance their career opportunities as Senior Teachers, ESP Instructors, Level Coordinators or Directors of Studies. The Diploma provides an excellent bridge for those who wish to pursue further academic qualifications related to TEFL at Masters level.

The course is organised around three modules, each of which is assessed separately. During the last module (Module III) candidates may focus on an area of specialization such as:
- Business English
- Teaching young learners/young adults (specified age group required with 5-year range e.g. 8–13, 14–15)
- English for Special Purposes
- English for Academic Purposes
- ESOL learners with clear specialist needs e.g. literacy needs
- CLIL/Embedded ESOL (teaching English through subject/work-based learning)

- Teaching one-to-one

- Teaching in an English-speaking environment

This course is approved by and moderated by Cambridge ESOL and includes a final written examination as well as observed teaching and a number of background assignments. CELT Athens offers both a part-time course for residents in Athens as well as outside Athens (usually held on weekends) or an intensive 7-week summer course. CELT provides trainees with adult classes for their teaching practices. The Diplomas are awarded by Cambridge ESOL.
