This 60 hour intensive course is designed to teach you how to teach English as a foreign language. Theory is blended with practical use to give you the skills you need to be an effective teacher. Using the communicative approach, you will learn classroom management strategies, the differences between the adult and child learner, multiple intelligence theory and how to create lesson plans that take into account different learning styles. You will learn how to supplement your lessons by using games, art, songs and other resources. You will also be prepared for culture shock and learn how to write a résumé and cover letter for jobs overseas and what to look for in a contract.
