Hess has recently opened our first teacher training and recruitment centre, Hess Education Canada Ltd., in Vancouver at 179 West Broadway, across from MEC (Mountain Equipment Co-op).

We mainly recruit teachers who acquire the qualities we are looking for to teach at our English schools in different cities throughout Taiwan. We also offer a 60 hrs intensive TEFL Certificate course designed by our teachers who have had the knowledge and experience in education for more than 20 years.
Students who complete the course will have a chance to apply to work for Hess in Taiwan!!

Chris-Anne Stumpf

Chris-Anne has been teaching ESL for over 22 years. She received her BA and MA from the University of Windsor and her PhD from Memorial University of Newfoundland. Originally a teacher of literature and written communication, along the way she discovered that her real love was teaching ESL. Accordingly she received her CERTESL from the University of Saskatchewan. Chris-Anne has taught ESL at the university, college and high school levels. She has taught in Hong Kong, Ontario, Newfoundland and British Columbia. She has also taught both immigrants and international students of all skill levels. Currently Chris-Anne is involved in teacher training programs and teaching specialized ESL preparation programs.

Hess will host an info session every month for students who are interested in our company and our courses to come and meet with us.
At the info session, we will introduce our company and the schools we have in Taiwan. Also we will be talking about how to enroll in our TEFL certificate program. Everyone is welcome to join!
