TEFL Bournemouth: ITTC, the teacher training division of BEET Language Centre, is based in Bournemouth on the south coast of England and has been running training courses for English language teachers since 1984. Over 4,000 teachers of English have participated in our courses since then - teachers from more than 40 countries in 2003 alone!

ITTC offers full-time CELTA courses all year round, and full-time & part-time DELTA courses for June & December exams. ITTC is an approved centre for CELTA & DELTA and ARELS/LCCI Business English teaching qualifications.

CELTA
Our courses at ITTC are designed to help you gain the certificate and make the course an enjoyable learning experience - although the course is very intensive and you must be prepared for this. ITTC courses have input sessions on language and teaching methodology in the mornings. These sessions cover the theory behind teaching and practical ideas to use in the classroom. In the afternoon there is teaching practice where you will teach students who come to us voluntarily for lessons. The students know that their teachers are undergoing training. Our students come from all over the world and have different levels of English.  All our courses last 4 weeks and each course is individually designed by the course tutors to meet the needs of the individuals on it.

DELTA
The Diploma in English laguage teaching to Adults is the qualification which has now replaced the DTEFLA and its aim is to provide specialised training for experienced English language teachers. From September 2000 all diploma courses have run as DELTA courses. The overall course requirements are specified by Cambridge and then individual centres design their course programme to fulfil these requirements. Courses are designed to ensure a balance between the demands of practical application and understanding of the theoretical background.
Our courses at ITTC are designed to help you gain the diploma and make the course an enjoyable learning experience - although the course is very intensive and you must be prepared for this. ITTC courses have input sessions on language and teaching methodology in the mornings, and teaching/observation in the afternoons. The input sessions will focus on: language awareness; the background to teaching and learning English at adult level; resources and materials; working in the classroom; evaluation, monitoring and assessment; professional development. Our full-time courses last just over 8 weeks.
